A focal point in the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park, located between Tenby and Amroth, Saundersfoot is a small fishing village and conservation area that’s packed with natural charm.

The beautiful beaches of Saundersfoot, some with long sandy stretches and others with wildlife-rich rock pools, are its star attraction. Pleasure craft provide trips in the warmer seasons from the harbour towards Carmarthen Bay or over to one of Pembrokeshire’s nature reserve islands. The Pembrokeshire Coast Path, laden with old tramway tunnels and flanked by woodlands and farmlands, offers walks to Amroth via Wiseman’s Bridge and its fascinating craggy foreshore or out towards Tenby where you’ll find coves below and striking cliff-top views above.

Nearby Colby Woodland Gardens, a National Trust gem with secret gardens and natural playgrounds set in a wooded valley, reminds of Saundersfoot’s ancient past – a medieval settlement in a forest clearing and favoured hunting ground of the Norman Earls of Pembroke. The gardens are a wonderful place to enjoy the seasonal changes and a stop by the gallery, tea room or farm shop will make your trip complete.  

Children who find creepy crawlies cool are sure to love The Reptile Experience where they can get hands on with an array of snakes, lizards and frogs found from rain forest to desert.  While those who prefer something a little fluffier could build a cuddly friend at Cwtch Bears.
