With the third longest river in Scotland running through it, Moray extends from the magnificent mountains of the Cairngorms National Park – where you’ll find Britain’s only herd of reindeer – to the Moray Firth coastline known for its enchanting resident marine mammals.

At Moray’s shoreline you’ll be delighted by towns such as Lossiemouth with its beautiful beaches and dunes as well as charming fishing villages like Findochty. Spey Bay is where the Moray Firth Wildlife Centre (part of the Whale and Dolphin Conservation Society) can be found. The Moray Firth, a large and fertile haven of the North Sea, is a brilliant place to see bottlenose dolphins with a pod of around 130 individuals living nearby. Rare wildfowl, ospreys, otters, harbour seals, harbour porpoises, white-beaked dolphins, minke whales, pilot whales and orcas have also been sighted.

Bordered by Aberdeenshire and located in the north-east of Scotland, Moray is a land of castle ruins, beautiful buildings of worship and ancient Pictish symbol stones. It’s positively brimming with heritage, myth and legend.
