Built in one of the shipyards that made Glasgow world famous, the Glenlee hosts all kinds of themed events to bring the ship to life for her visitors. There’s even more to widen the little ones’ eyes over at Glasgow Science Centre, where you can discover hundreds of mindboggling exhibits designed to capture the imaginations of visitors. Sit back in the planetarium and stare up at 9000 stars shining above you, and now you can experience the Cineworld IMAX.

Glasgow’s packed with museums, galleries and venues that make it one of Scotland’s most exciting places to visit, and when you’re ready for the sound of silence and a walk along the river, the Clyde Valley awaits.

Happily, whether you want to explore the valley by car or on foot you’ll find a route especially for you. The Tourist Route rolls on for 42 miles of “wow”, and it winds its way along the banks of the River Clyde. For the walkers, it’s just a question of choosing your route and setting off, but we’d recommend following in the footsteps of Wordsworth and Turner, who made their way to the three Falls of Clyde.
