The neighbouring villages of Brancaster and Brancaster Staithe enjoy an enviable spot on the north Norfolk coast. Hop off the Norfolk Coast Path between Holkham and Heacham and you could be tempted to put your feet up for a while. Brancaster beach stretches, quite literally, for miles. There are designated spots for kitesurfing, and it’s a popular sailing haunt too. At low tide the shipwrecked remains of SS Vina are revealed as are the fossilised remains of a forest.

Brancaster is a thriving fishing community, so you won’t be short of choice for a seafood supper. Whether you pick up the area’s renowned mussels for supper in the cottage or choose them from the menu of one of many local restaurants; it’s a taste you’ll remember forever.
