We say pop-up because this welcoming community sprang up around the Peek family mansion, now the Rousdon Estate in the early 20th century. Today, this rather serene spot is just over the Dorset border into East Devon, which puts the best of these two counties at your door.

The Axmouth to Lyme Regis Undercliffs National Nature Reserve calls you to the coast as it stretches from Lyme Regis to Seaton. Lyme Regis and Dorset’s fossil hunting beaches are within a 3 mile drive while the Devon seaside at Seaton is a similar sniff away in the other direction.
