Marazion

Many people visit Marazion for a glimpse of St Michael’s Mount. But this coastal town on the shoreline of Mount’s Bay is a joyful base for a self-catering holiday in West Cornwall. Almost in the toe of Cornwall’s boot kicking westwards into the Atlantic, you won’t be disappointed at the end of a long drive, but you will want to stay a while. Close to Penzance on the south coast, you’re also at one side of the narrowest parts of Cornwall. A visit to the north Cornwall coast and St Ives Bay is a rewarding day out.

The combination of Roman history, wildlife and two perfectly sandy beaches ensures the town’s popularity for family holidays in Cornwall. How long until you spot a dolphin? What’s that unusual seabird over there? Is this really Britain’s oldest town? Conversations that will keep you going even once you’re round a table in a welcoming Cornish pub for supper.

Stay in one of our gorgeous Marazion holiday cottages to tick off all of these boxes.
