Polzeath

Surf’s up in Polzeath, one of Cornwall’s most popular surfing spots. In fact, this fantastically flat beach and its ready rollers are famous the world over with pro and amateur surfers. While many surfing holidays in Cornwall start here, Polzeath is also a haven for wildlife, most notably dolphins and plentiful coastal birdlife. Eyes peeled – or bring your binoculars – there’s plenty to see beyond the crests of the waves. Especially if your Polzeath holiday cottage has sea views!

Polzeath’s position between Pentire Point to the north and Rock to the south makes for a fabulous coastal walking holiday in Cornwall too. The coast path wends in both directions. Just around the corner, the calmer waves of Daymer Bay tend to attract the swimmers and windsurfers. Beyond the ancient St Enodoc Church and Brea Hill that linger behind Daymer Bay you’ll find fairways. Golf breaks in North Cornwall often include the 18 holes at St Enodoc.

When Polzeath beach disappears beneath the high tide retreat to one of our Polzeath holiday cottages and savour the view.
