Bodinnick

Bodinnick is a beautiful hamlet, whose white houses cling to the rocks just across the river from more famous Fowey, on Cornwall’s south coast. A holiday cottage in Bodinnick offers picturesque river & coastal views and some secret delights, besides.

The Old Ferry Inn has been serving food & drink to the residents of this village since pirates roamed the waters, and offers great views over the estuary. Bodinnick is also home to Daphne du Maurier’s house, Ferryside, where she wrote some of her most famous novels – the house still belongs to her family.

The harbour town of Fowey, connected to Bodinnick by a car ferry, is equally picturesque but better-known and busier for it. It has a lovely mix of independent shops, narrow medieval streets, and some great places to eat and drink overlooking the water.

Your holiday cottage in Bodinnick offers a unique opportunity to explore this historic, unique corner of Cornwall.
