Who are they?

Kent & Sussex Cottages has been established for over 30 years, starting with friends and family with picture-perfect homes, we had a kitchen table and a dream. Back then we were known as Freedom Holiday Homes. Our name has changed but we are still a family-run business and that’s really our core.  Today we have over 250 Visit England assessed properties spanning the whole of the picturesque region of Kent and Sussex, but we still have a local team with local knowledge based in offices in Cranbrook and Sandwich.  So whatever you are looking for, from short breaks to full weekly bookings, from cosy cottages for two to wonderful  properties for families, our experienced team will be able a find a property to suit.  We have seaside houses and apartments, country cottages, town houses, barn conversions and oast houses.

What areas do they cover?

Kent is best known as the Garden of England because of its rich agricultural heritage. It is lush and green with dramatic coastlines, including the iconic White Cliffs of Dover, as well as lesser known but equally breath-taking beaches. It has stunning vistas, beautiful woodlands and wild marshlands.  Not only that, but Kent is full of history, culture, art, golf courses, vineyards, food fairs and popular events in Canterbury, so plenty to keep you busy.

Sussex is the county Rudyard Kipling chose to call home; it is where Virginia Woolf lived for a time and where H.G.Wells spent his childhood.  It is stunning with glorious walks across the South Downs, breath taking countryside views, tranquil woodland and over 100 miles of spectacular beaches, like those of Camber, and coastline.  It is exciting and different, entertaining and beautiful, bristling with historic houses and castles, charming villages and bustling towns.
