Who are we?

We provide exactly what our title implies, and a bit more.  Our hearts are steadfastly rooted in the Duchy of Cornwall (or Kernow), and since 1964 we’ve helped people discover the beauty of the county we love. We let holiday homes, from the traditional to the ultra-modern and everything in between. Many of them are indeed cottages, but some are apartments or bungalows, and some are mansions. We care only that you’d be happy to come home to them as a comfortable self-catering base for your holiday. And of course, all are hand-picked to ensure that they’re wonderful.

What areas do we cover?

We provide rented holiday accommodation for short or long breaks in Cornwall, from England’s westernmost point at Land’s End, to the Tamar River that forms the border with Devon. This is an area of over 1300 square miles (3500km2) bounded by three hundred miles (480km) of the South West Coast Path and officially some of the best beaches in Europe (Cornwall has the longest coastline of any UK county). And despite its considerable surface area, the pointy shape of the county dictates that you’re never more than twenty miles (32km) from the sea! Kernow also contains many amazing non-seaside attractions, from the Eden Project, with the world’s largest indoor rainforest and much more, to the pagan standing stones and the mining history of Poldark country. Cornwall’s the sunniest county in the UK by far, and the Gulf Stream’s influence also ensures that it’s one of the mildest. We have our customers’ best interests at heart and are committed to having every location deliver the kind of experience we’d expect for ourselves. What matters most is what makes you smile, so our properties are rated, solely by actual customer feedback, using a 1-5 “smiles” rating. Sort of like Amazon’s stars. Rather than just an overall rank, specific questions are asked of our guests, like: “How would you rate the furnishings and equipment of the property?” It’s our policy not to carry any properties with ratings lower than three smiles, but first time rentals will be labelled “New” instead.
